what you talking about he played plastic sax till it melted? he always played plastic saxes, selmer made special models for him. It was part of his sound.

Ornette has not always played plastic saxes. The melted sax I refer to was one he owned in the late 1950's and it was left in a car trunk on a hot day...and it deformed and couldn't be played anymore. Ed Blackwell told me that story in the late 1980's.

As a Trio, we don't. But Damon Smith (bass) has many, see www.balancepointacoustics.com. Josh and I have recorded a few things, see www.myspace.com/orrallenduo...Josh also recorded a CD called "I can climb a tree, I can tie a knot, I can have a conversation" with the Goodhart Allen Powell Trio, available on amazon. Thanks!!!!
