It is shocking what people get up to, isn't it?

The wife is a spoiled brat and a child wanting her own way and not thinking. If she and her lover would be found out, it would be motive. She seems that simple that she doesn't get what that would mean.

I do like this series, but the music is just dreadful. After a tension or the discovery of a murder they play a hooli-dooli melody as if it was a fairy tale.

I hope this is in response to your question "Really?" but assuming it is, if you read Murder at the Vicarage, Miss Marple's house is surrounded by a large garden. In fact the drawing - AC's I imagine - shows it to be larger than the house itself. I'm imagining they could not find a house and garden of the sort and that's why Miss Marple is made to stop and examine the roses as she leaves the house. Other books also place her in the same setting.

the dead guy's wife is one cold lady. kissing her lover in her husband's house, then inviting her lover over right after her husband died.
