19min Sci-Fi, docu/drama Exposing 'Subtle Abuse'

The aim of this project is to raise awareness of the various forms of 'subtle abuse' which seems to be targeted at vulnerable people. This may include coercion to borrow money or personal possessions by people "befriending" them or through scams. It will look at ways to address, report or ideally avoid it altogether.

I worked with tenants of Genesis Housing Association (who have enduring mental health problems) to help make an informative DVD, documenting and acting out real-life situations in which this abuse has occurred. The idea originally came from those who have suffered this subtle form of abuse and wanted to protect others by forewarning and empowering them to recognise and deal with abuse.

This is a really serious subject - but I think the issue gets a bit lost in the flood story which becomes a bit of a distraction. Still like it though!!
