When I was going to Columbia, I had an apartment near Ms. McQueens, and she was very sweet and friendly to everyone. As old as she was at that time, she used to go outside pretty much every day and sweep the sidewalk. I guess she was determined that she was going to live on a CLEAN block.

something thats actually astounding is how all the actors' lives and personalities echoed the parts they played in this movie in some way.

I actually think the best 2nd choice would've been Paulette Goddard. Check out the video titled 'Gone With The Wind Tests' here on Youtube and you'll see what I'm talking about. However, Vivien Leigh definitely OWNED that role!
