My 05 Maxima SL does the same thing after it sits for a while.

sounds normal to me. they do it for a second when started up then it goes away

try using 0w20 weight oil

you have oil leaking into the coil and the spark plug, i had the same exact problem and just fixed it. order a new set of plugs and a new valve cover and you'll notice the issue immediatley fixed. it's very common among these cars

its not the oil, its the timing chain sprocket. but its normal, so dont worry about it.

thats odd. I have the exact same problem. I've switched from dyno to synthetic, additives and no luck

I got an 02 Max, and the oil leaked into the coil and the spark plug, how did you fix it, and how do you get the oil out of there? How much did it cost you? it'll help if you make a video or give me step by step instructions.

@aznwarrior20 you will need to replace the valve cover gasket first to stop the oil leaking out. for to get oil out you simply just compressed air or brake cleaner.

@acuratl200 mobil1 isnt cheap. its just how the engine is designed, has nothing to do with thick or thin oil
the sound is from the cam sprocket, oil doesnt go there.
