Had a leak, had to change em out. pretty much the same process for any intake. Ford Dodge or SBC or BBC.

  • The metal inserts with the holes are heat risers for the choke.I use black high temp silicone and only use it on the back of the gasket(gasket to head). Just use a small thin layer around just around the ports and smooth it out.The top of the gasket should have no silicone added if it's raised around the ports or you could get leaks.If the gasket is flat on top then a very small amount around the ports won't hurt. The end rails on the block should get a 1/4 bead of silicone across them.

  • @3rdgenjunkie Yeah, sometimes you gotta either get an angle attachment for your torque wrench, or use a box wrench
