interesting that cream cheese goes well with dates..it's kinda like penut butter and jelly so i guess it makes sense.. wonder if regular cheddar cheese would go well with dates

That looks like an intriguing recipe. Thin slices of roasted bellpepper/capsicum instead of cheese stuffing might be nice as well.
Could I suggest instead of relying on plastic bags for fiddly jobs, invest in a really cheap cake decorating piping bag or syringe? The doughnut or writing nibs would be perfect for this job. And the syringe type can be chucked into the dishwasher.
