Ah. I see the matter of confusion. I accidentally omitted as "if" played by.... A few years ago, I almost has the pleasure of seeing her play. Unfortunately, I was unable to arrange a day off of work the night of the show.

You are correct. The original version of this song is a solo instrumental of Kaki on acoustic guitar from her first album. I was perhaps unclear. Is what I intended to say is that this particular rendition of the song sounds similar to the band The Mercury Program. They have a few videos posted here on youtube. I recommend them. Thanks for uploading the video.
Almost sounds like Carmine Street as played by the Mercury Program. Not a bad rendition.
