I was just watching "The War" by Ken Burns. There was a Sid Philips from Mobile AL. in that documentary, I have to wonder was that the same Sid from the Pacific? What are the odds that two Sid's came from Mobile and served in the Marines in the Pacifrc.. Anyone have any clue... I have not read his book... So any help would be very cool.. BTW... Sid, thanks, can't beleive you endured that hell...

they were and always will be heroes. They made so many sacrifices so that we could be free. Utmost respect and forever in their debt.

wow after all the hell sidney and eugene had gone through i bet it was one of the greatest feelins in the world they gettin to run into each other like that. i got the utmost respect for the soldiers that went through all the past and present wars. no one can even come close to imagining what soldiers have felt during those times that life seemed no longer than the blink of an eye
Heroes, all of them. Bless all the allied soldiers who sacrificed everything for todays ungratefulness.
