So what Jesus requires of one man is standard for everyone in the world? I personally believe that is what Jesus felt it took for the rich young ruler needed to do to be saved. Jesus may not require everyone to sell all their goods and give to the poor but as for this young man He knew that his possessions meant more to him than eternal life.
