  • I have always loved your videos & found them very helpful! I have done things your way & gone as far as experimenting on my own a little to see if I can change the look of a project. I couldn't have even begun w/o your videos getting me started. I crochet for a hobby & for gifts for family & friends - everyone has always loved & cherished each piece. Anything handmade is from the heart & is accepted that way. Thank you for freely sharing you time & knowledge. Much appreciated! :)

  • @scrapbookingbyleann I appreciate your generous words! Thank you.

  • sorry that you feel that way. I took crochet lessons from experts before I taught.

However, all I'm saying is that a sc is under two strands frontm or back loop is listed as such in patterns and it gives you a whole different design. Then people will wonder why their project doesn't look like the pic. It's not preference and it's not "my way" sorry you feel that you can't consider it but anyone here can look

it up. Not trying to be critical.....

  • @kmcla67 Crochet is like cooking, each person is going to add their own flavor.

It is the fault of the crochet authors for not providing enough details and specifying in their instructions what loops they should be crocheting under. A single crochet is a single crochet no matter what strand you go under.

This video is only a demonstration and not a pattern. When people are learning, they should experiment under the different strands to see what they like the best.

  • @kmcla67 In case you don't know, there are not set standards for crochet. Those crochet organizations are just a waste of money and a gimmick. You don't need to pay a crochet website to learn how to crochet. The UK even has different names for their crochet stitches. You have more learning to do.

  • Hey what kind of yarn do you use? Because I've seen a scraf that was heavy with basic yarn and I seen another one that was soft and light weight.

  • @kmcla67 Your problem is telling people they are wrong and teaching from crochet books. Obviously you don't know how to teach. Crochet is not your way or the highway. It is preference.

  • sorry, I've taught for years it's not a preference it's a completely different stitch which says crochet in front loop or back you go under both strands for a single crochet any crochet book will all the way back to the 50s will show you that.

  • @kmcla67 A single crochet is individual preference and worked under the front loop, back loop or both loops.
