In this video (why do I start every video that way?) I demonstrate some very useful open source software called Video Project Tools (VPT). Search for it on Google if you are interested in an easy way to do some fun stuff with a video projector.
edit: A new version of VPT has been released (VPT5). The new version includes several enhancements, very neat new features, and a redesigned UI. I'll try to make a video to demonstrate that software when I can.
