  • Hard to tell what this sounds like. Primitive miking. Cabelleros sent a brass group to our city Christmas celebration in 2010. Sounded A++.

  • Most sr. corps are all from a relatively centralized area: the NY metro; Jersey, upstate. The northeast. Cab, Brigs, Empire, Buc, Bush, Grennies, Hurcs ....etc Hawthorne is in New Jersey - a hotbed of drum corps talent - young and old playing host to a plethora a world class musical organizations; including perennial top-6er The Cadets and the Crossmen (relocated to Texas due to the activity's expansion in that region)

The Cabs spec. in hot latin jazz n screamin sopranos - cant fault em 4 that!

  • where are they from? it`s amagazing

  • Curt, you are just fantastic. I am so glad I marched with you a long time ago!!! I sure wish this had better audio. Maybe you'll see me with Hawthorne Alumni someday. It would be the only way I'd ever march again!

  • I love the caballeros! their show this year was AWESOME! :)

  • Hi Bianca, actually Mark played the trumpet solo in 'Broadway' & I remember you with your long dark hair. My dad stayed with your family in 1981 in Baarn, when Gravesham were over. Can you remember his name?

  • Hi there

I read these reactions and saw Oosterkwartier..

I was there too, being 15/16years ..from Baarn,

I wonder who you are? I stayed with the Lockyear family when Oosterkwartier visited Gravesend for the first time.

I remember Mark and his wonderful family. Also know he did an trumpet solo..I think The way we were...Wow..

    Bianca

  • now thats drum corp.. eat that bucs . and this number one and always be...bucs u cant beat this...see ya

  • Sorry for the misspelling, yes we did stay with them in Baarn, near Utrecht, Holland & vice versa. I saw a video clip of Crusaders Alumni recently, they were a good size corps, couldn't recognise anyone tho!

Yes there is still a corps in Gravesend, they are the Black Knights drum & bugle corps, they have a website. In the late 80's Gravesham amalgamated with Kingsferry Brass & became the Kingsmen, then in the 90's they became the Black Knights of today.

    British Champions a few times!

  • Almost correct (-; it is In Aethere Musica

Yes, I remeber Oosterkwartier, wasn't that the corps you staid when you were in Holland ?

Saw a few weeks ago the Dageham Crusaders Alumni in Kerkrade, It was great to see them again

Do you know there is still a drumcorps in Gravesend?
