Handstand pushups build tremendous strength that is applicable to a wide range of athletic endeavors. Bulgarian HSPUs allow the development of this strength without requiring a free standing handstand.

  • these aren't full range hspu's though, they have the same rom as done on the floor (these).

  • These are by definition not regular HSPUs, but Bulgarian HSPUs. As such they descend until there is 90 degree bend in the elbow and another 90 degree angle between the upper arm and the torso while the arms press outward to the sides during the descent.
