It's mind-boggling that the four major American sports leagues have built 80 new stadiums since 1989. Even more puzzling is the fact that the general public usually picks up the bill on these structures that most clearly benefit wealthy team owners. In our new documentary Stadium Status, we go on location at some of the new stadium sites in NYC and try and get to the bottom of this.

Stadium Status is coming to YouTube real soon but there are also two ways to see it before the rest of the internets. We're hosting a screening this Tuesday June 1, from 7-9pm at the Central library in Brooklyn (Grand Army Plaza). We'll be showing a number of classics and a special preview premiere of Stadium Status.

We're also going to give special early access to this video to anyone on our email list for IC updates. Come to http://internetscelebrities.com and sign up to see Stadium Status before the rest of the world.

  • @dabuzebruvaz it's the same sad story all across the country. the middle class and working class are paying for stadiums that they've been priced out of using because the play is all about luxury boxes and corporate customers.

  • Stadiums are used to collect electricity from the thousands of people inside them, and summon jinn into our reality.

  • As a non sports fan, I feel like I'm missing out on some great struggle. :)

Here in LA, I think they are trying to get us to pick up the bill for a new football stadium for another failed attempt to bring football to LA. (Apparently the Coliseum is too 'hood) If we even had taxpapyer money to spend, I figure LA has a few other priorities.
