Ants overtook my lawn. I used Spectracide Once and Done Insect control to eradicate them. The stuff works great. Watch the video to see how effective it was.

  • Your strategy may not work for these ants, which I believe to be some kind of Monomorium (possibly minimum or eratogyna). How large are these ants? If they are indeed Monomorium, then simply killing a queen is not enough. THey can form supercolonies with many queens, and so if you do kill a queen, the ants will raise some of their brood into princesses and unfertilized eggs will turn into males, which may mate inside the nest, thus giving the colony a queen again. Make sure you destroy the brood

  • @TheAngelicDefender Thanks for the heads up. It seems to be working but just out of curiosity how do you get rid of the brood?

  • That is greatness! Thanks for the handy documentary.

  • @KellyeBenton Thanks! I'll have another video coming out in a few days. If you subscribe to my channel you won't miss out.

The Preview: My wife and I just had a baby girl.

  • what kind of ants because unless they were fireants you probably just wasted your time and money

  • @Eaglescoutkm1 They were balck ants. I'm not sure exactly what kind but it has been over a month and seems to be working fine.

  • "back yod"

  • I like how you mentioned how your associate took a nap. Genius!

  • @11rdub11 Well, there really is no best way, but the way that I most commonly use is to flood the nest. Dig about 2-3 inches into the ground and start flooding the nest with a hose. The water will eventually reach the brood chambers, and if the workers do not rescue them, they will not hatch, thus ending your problem. However, they will most likely rescue them, so when you see little black ants running around carrying white objects, simply step on them. Simple as that.

  • Good video, I just use the petrol fire trick. Has a few downsides to it though.
