$6 per voter is all it would take, to cover the cost of ALL election campaigns, currently paid for mostly by special interest groups and corporations looking for influence. (You don't think all those BILLIONS are provided by a few $15 contributions, do you?) Would it be worth $6 to get your democracy back?
Ask YOUR favorite elected official about this. You will be astounded by the answer.

THE PUBLIC CAMPAIGN FINANCING SONG Jim Terr © 2011 (To the tune of WABASH CANNONBALL)
Oh, dear congressperson, won't you please explain
How you can take big money, to finance your campaign,
And not feel more beholden to the fat cats with the dough
Than to us folks who elected you -- I'd really like to know.
Yes just between us humans, do you really have time to think
When your survival requires you to always schmooze and drink
With the folks who give you money for your TV ads and such
On the airwaves that at one time were considered the public trust?
They roll through here every now and then so if you ever get a chance
Ask your congressman a thing or two about campaign finance.
For six dollars per voter, we could get this thing on track.
It seems a tiny price to pay to get our government back.
So wouldn't it be in your interest, and certainly in mine
To pay for our elections, all together at one time?
I'll put in my six dollars, for that is all it'd take
To kick the corporations out, and democracy re-make.
So tell me, Congressperson, why wouldn't this work for you?
It seems it'd give you time for all the work you have to do
To reach some wise decisions, learn what you're talkin' about,
Instead of raisin' money, day in and day out.
Yeah they roll through here every now and then so if you ever get a chance
Ask your congressman a thing or two about campaign finance.
For six dollars per voter, we could get this thing on track.
It seems a tiny price to pay to get our government back.
Is this ready to share, yet, Jimbo?
Cuz Ah LAHKS iiyit...
