This is a shootout between the uber metal and the cool cat metal 2 pedals. I play the same riff with both pedals. The cool cat is up first, then the uber metal.

song: "my own summer/shove it"-Deftones

guitar: Ibanez RG321MH

Amp: Behringer GMX110 on clean channel-no modeling

  • both pedals suck balls. all that gear and the song you picked was a follow the bouncing ball deftones song in which you remove notes and add slides to every measure. crappy. what a waste. keep practicing.

  • well if you dont like either pedal then I'd say this video wasnt for you. The polite thing to do in that case is move on,not leave a rude comment and low rating.

  • Why even bother making this comparison.. The cool cat is clearly a cheap pedal

  • while its not as good as a uber metal its not a cheap pedal-its well made and sounds pretty good. Have you seen what these are going for on ebay lately?

  • is your behringer on the ground or on something. because i have heard a diff when you raise them off the ground they are not as bassy. i know sometimes you want i little more low end but this amp sounds better when you raise it off the ground let me know what you think about it

  • it was off the ground-havent noticed a difference between on the ground or raised other than how it sounds when directly in front of you versus slightly below ear level. In this video it is at ear level

  • uber metal 'appears' to have less fuzz than the cool cat, but they both have a very similar sound. I'm a cheap ass, so I'd go with the cool cat! Nice riffs man

  • The amp should be set an neutral and diming the gain on any distortion is pretty much a bad idea

  • UBER METAL.

  • every video I've heard of that cool cat it sounds really buzzy.

  • the coolcat sounds really nice , n i can get the power for chugging riffs i was looking for without spending too much

  • hi men can you found a configuration with the dan electro that sound like metallica

    im getting crazy

i have the dan electro metal 2

  • you copied the deftones tone! hehe..i'm thinking about buying this amp, i kinda like it..

  • they both sound good
