DOMINION & SHELLY FRANCIS, INTERM KUR, '08 USEF FESTIVAL

Dominion and Shelly Francis scored 67.6 and took 7th place in the Intermediaire Freestyle at the 2008 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions held at the Oaks Blenheim in San Juan Capistrano, California on Sunday June 29th, 2008.

Shelly Francis has been competing in dressage events for 28 years. An accomplished rider and trainer, Shelly has competed at the Festival of Champions since 1991. Among many highlights, Shelly and "Pikant", a Hanoverian by Pik Bube, were National Grand Prix champions in 1997, and in 1998 the pair represented the U.S. at the World Equestrian Games. She has been training "Dominion", and "Wig Wam", an 8-year-old Oldenburg by Wolknatanz II, for 4 years. Both horses are qualified and competing in this year's Festival of Champions. Pat Stempel, owner of "Dominion" and "Wig Wam", has joined with Shelly in Shelly Francis Dressage LLC, a company that offers training and instruction at all levels. Shelly is currently training horses and riders at Roundabout Farm in Loxahatchee, Florida.
