This waltz and the polka mazurka "Lob der Frauen" are, in my opinion, the best works by Strauß (one of my favorite composers).

this was introduced in 1863, meaning he wrote it during the heat of the civil war. I find that pretty cool.

There's no way I could pick a favorite waltz by Johann Staruss II, I love them all!!!! I also like Lehar Liszt and Waldteufel. The waltzof the flowers is also a beautiful piece.

@KingRobi1 Eine gute Wahl ;)
I love all waltzes composed by the Strausses. But I find it rather bothersome
to recognize the German title of each work; I do not speak or comprehend it.
Anyway, "Morgenblätter" (Morning Paper) is one of my favorite Viennese waltzes.
Accepted! I will replenish the english titles as far as I know them :-)
