First class vid. I thought I would try to make the pick and tension wrench with coat hanger wire. Believe it or not it was o.k. I had a problem with the length of the pick...as did you. When I corrected it, it was perfect.

You could use spokes, though for the lever pick they would probably be to big a gauge. You can also use un-fluxed brazing rod.

Most good craft and model shops will sell spring steel, commonly called Piano wire.

You can buy Piano wire, spring steel, at any good Craft or model shop. It usualy comes in 1mtr lenghs and costs around £2.00. You want 14 gauge for tension tools, and 16 gauge for the picks.
