  • Enjoyed the vid - thanks! instead of piano wire, could spokes from a bicycle be used? Thanks again for a good clear vid, appreciated eh! Nice work. 5*

  • You could use spokes, though for the lever pick they would probably be to big a gauge. You can also use un-fluxed brazing rod.

  • Great video mate! Quality work! Could you tell where i could get hold of the wire so i can have a go myself? :o)

  • Most good craft and model shops will sell spring steel, commonly called Piano wire.

  • do they sell piano wire at a music shop....and how long is it

  • You can buy Piano wire, spring steel, at any good Craft or model shop. It usualy comes in 1mtr lenghs and costs around £2.00. You want 14 gauge for tension tools, and 16 gauge for the picks.

  • can your tools get stuck in these locks

  • First class vid. I thought I would try to make the pick and tension wrench with coat hanger wire. Believe it or not it was o.k. I had a problem with the length of the pick...as did you. When I corrected it, it was perfect.

    Thanks for the video!
