  • To Answer the Fog Question The Department Uses Compressed air Foam systems which is run through a smooth bore or just open bail with no tip

Much better knockdown with less water

  • @CTFD13 Exactly, my dad was a Lt. on a Dept in California. He and a new guy went in to a room and contents fire. The new guy got scared and before my dad could stop him the guy sprayed a fog pattern at the ceiling. The disruption of the thermal layer caused 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 25% of my dads body. They were lucky to get out of the house but my dad had to medically retire because of his injuries. I think about that everytime I go into a fire.

  • Nice video.

    Stay safe

  • you can use the fog pattern after the fire is out. Put it towards a window/door and open all the way. clears the room of smoke and heat in no time

  • @feedmekorn85 fog nozzles move a lot of air. if you use a fog in a flashover, all your gonna do is steam burn the hell out of yourself, and your crew. it will circulate all that hot air before it cools it. by penciling, or using a straight stream, you dont disrupt the thermal layer, plus straigh stream cools like 20% faster than fog nozzles.

  • there was something on the lens of the cam so focucsed in and out

  • @feedmekorn85 in order to minimize the steam creation while putting out the fire. Fog streams push fire and smoke to places where you don't want it.

  • i know it was for trainning but why would hit a room that has flashed over with a straight stream?

  • agree 100% great vid

  • nice vid thanks
