How to silicone a Yo-yo

In this video we will take you through a step-by-step process of silicone a Yo-yo. This week the demonstrator is Zachary Lytle better known as "Magneto". He will be following the method taught by the National yo-yo Museum in Chico California.

Things you need to follow along;
1. Flowable silicone
2. 3 x 5 card
3. Napkins
4. Yo-yo with recess

okay so i did exactly what you did and used everything you did but i used it on a duncan freehand and to one side and it is SUPER responsive!!!

i thought it would be UNRESPONSIVE :(

any help?

good question. Inspect the silicone job carefully, make sure there is no overflow. Make sure you didn't get any in the baring seat. Also, normally it takes about a day or 2 to break in a freshly siliconed yoyo. If you just keep playing with it, I'm sure it will break in and be unresponsive.

how does it helps my yoyo , i mean what yoyo does specially if i silicone it? p.s i have yyf whip and its my first yoyo , how can i get it responsive?:/
