@dkkoover Looks like a confidential porno movie...

I remember seeing him play for the Thunder Bay Senators of the Colonial Hockey League (now United Hockey League) in the 1993-1994 season, helping lead the team to the championship. It is a shame that his career had to end tragically like this. I miss seeing him play.

He tried coming back the next season, but he couldn't play entire shifts without running out of breath. This was because his air passage was left 15% narrower and the doctor said that it was too dangerous to play.

It shattered his Windpipe and ended his career. He even said that if he could go back he wouldn't have changed that he blocked that shot either... he is an amazing man

He talked about this at my school today. FYI I'm from swift current and so is he so it's really cool to know him!!!

I remember seeing this as it happened---frightening. FYI, this ended Trent McCleary's career.

@DetroitTigers18 possibly if it was hit hard enough. Although it more likely with a puck due to it's smaller surface area, esp since the edge of the puck him him in the neck.
I saw that play happen live in 2000, it was very scary.

yes tigers but obviously not quite as serious injury since the surface area is larger and the velocity is a lil slower.
