Galloway speaks the simple, unalloyed truth. Zionism was founded by leaders who were largely atheist, borne out from a European burgeois and colonialist mentality. Since then it has morphed and degenerated into something dangerous to the peace of the world: colonialist, militaristic, arrogant and fascist. Israel is shaped like a splinter biting into the flank of the Islamic world, acting as means of dividing and sowing discord between East and West.

Without considering the past and looking at the present situation I think Galloway's solutions to a deep seated problem are very naieve.

actually they did.. Jews were fleeing European anti-Semitism to live in the Ottoman empire and were not persecuted at least nothing compared to European standards..

Jews and Muslims can't live together as equals in the same land because Muslims won't let that happen. Wake up, George, get real.

Why is this guy so obsessed with atheism? The middle east be a lot better if Arab countries had secular leaders too. I'm an Israeli atheist, I don't believe in the bible, but I'm sure my ancestors lived here. I went to many 2000+ old places with Hebrew inscriptions, it's my native country. Galloway, if you don't like the bible read the Quran - it says Israel is the land of the Jewish people. So much hatred for people who came to Israel from European hell...most of my family died there.
