With many questioning the influence oil companies wield over current US foreign policy, the role of petroleum corporations is once again in the spotlight. This week, we bring you a documentary about a small community which took on Shell and won. Fighting against a global multi-national, they battled for their environment and health. It's a story about a town divided. The white Shell workers prize the refinery as a valuable local asset while the marginalized African American community believe it ruins their health and poisons their children.

To Automedon2: We should be thankful we have the opportunity to speak out like this, about all the problems in America. All the "let's find something wrong"-s in America.
Good old New Orleans, is this before or after Katrina? I was there in Dec 2007, seem to me that they are still in recovery. Half of the building where in need of reconstruction. I am suprise that some greety guy has not yet noted that this is in the south and very mild temperatures. And make a real state boom like they have done in Miami.
Just another "let's find something wrong in America" video. It gets pretty old, but I'm sure the rest of the world just eats it up. For every one of these, they could find a thousand stories of American decency, but I'm sure the filmakers can't peddle anything positive to their buyers back home, so they come here to look for the dirty laundry.
