It's melancholy from the start in that the opening score is in a minor key.
Very little dialogue.
Great movie.

Sydney, of all the great directors that come to mind, is perhaps the single most engaging and articulate in talking film and getting across the essence of what goes into making a film. I never tire of watching and listening to his interviews. He''ll always be remembered, thanks to clips like this one. Thanks for sharing.

One of my favorite movies!!!!!!!!! Pollack+Redford =Great combination!!!!Pollack was one of one the best directors of his time!!!!!!!!! (Also a good actor). I will miss the movies he will never direct.
