Emote Christmas Light Display - Bitmapworld

This is an animation my wife and I did as a special holiday gift for our friends and fans. The pixel graphics were done entirely by Michelle/Mirz, as was the choreography of the lights and patterns to the music. I was in charge of synching the lights with the music and editing the video--which proved to be no easy task.

The music is "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" performed by the amazing Kevin McLeod of Incompetech.com. The musical piece is released under Creative Commons, which is why we chose it for this video.

This is the first time we have done anything like this, and we are very proud of the results.

"Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" is one of my favorite pieces. Wow - yes, I can only imagine the time it took to synch the lights with the music!

@Whisperland - It was actually created as an avi, and we had to convert it to a swf (with some loss of quality) when we uploaded it to some other sites.

At first I thought it'd been better if the melody had been been on electric guitar (it sounds sooo Ozzy), and made it "epic" like your later work with Carol of the Bells,

But with the flow of the lights on the scales, I think you did it perfectly in the end. Bravo, and Merry Christmas in advance.
