The hero of MGS3 is Big Boss (known as Naked Snake in the game).

After the events of MGS3 3 clones were made of him: Solidus, Liquid and Solid Snake.

In MGS 1, 2 and 4 you play as Solid Snake (one of the clones). In MGS4 he looks old becouse of rapid aging caused by the cloning process.

@Vast91 In one scene that snake meets naomi , she explains that snake rapid aging is indeed due to cloning , he is born to rapid age so he will die faster incase he was captured or rebel , not fox-die .

@Turmio1 No. Snakes raped aging is caused by fox-die. Not cloning process. If you listen carefully in the story, their genes are not identical. Naked snakes sons are born through Eva's body.
