Our Save-A-Landmark program recently refurbished its 52nd landmark: the Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer in Grand Island, Nebraska. On June 3, 2010 more than twenty volunteers from local Nebraska Hampton Hotels spent the day painting, landscaping and cataloguing artifacts while also enjoying the interactive museum, which portrays pioneer town builders and settlers who created the first Nebraska communities during the 1840s-1920s.
