  • Leokinvideo, is this type of housing capable of being underwater, as well as being in a small explosive? If it's capable of protecting any video camera underwater; what's it's maximum underwater depth and duration? I'm an American, I'm not accustomed to Metric.

  • If you chose a water proof torch housing i am pretty sure you could pull off a underwater housing, but I would not go any deeper than say 2 mtrs (6ft)

Even that fancy Sony housing you see in the video is only good for 6ft.

My purposes for protection are related more to dusty dirty flame environments, it is also good for rain protection.

As soon as you start going to deep water you need some serious protection.

  • whoa... did that guy say fleshlight?

  • even I gave this comment a thumb up, I had to laugh..

  • hey leo, is it better to use a professional camcorder for tiny toy stuff or simple camcorders? thats a cool housing

  • you are awesome

  • waterproof? or can be made water proof?

  • oh and where did you get the explosive in australia??

  • where did you buy the perspex from?

  • Hmmmmm Good Idea... stupidly applied.

Since the camera is stuck next to a "flash", I would have used a simple plywood box with a plain slip in and out - 3mm float glass window.

The glass is difficult to break, scratch resistant, easy to clean and cheap to replace.

The box can be made to be a close fit around the camera, hence very small and light, and mountable from a variety of configurations - with the ability to wire in all sorts of connections and switches.....

  • Dear Retarded American - it is brave of you to admit that you are dumb, but it is stupid of you to show it - by telling everyone that you are too stupid and too lazy to come into the 22nd century - and USE metric or even go to the effort of coverting it backwards to your reality.

  • Damn good idea man!!
