There are many ways to render a scene in Blender 2.53 Beta. In this video, I show the default render settings, and then the new presets and location options for rendering a Blender scene in 2.53 beta.

  • Don't compress an image until you are finalizing. That means chances are you will be using .tga or .tiff until you finish working it through an image or video editor.

  • @falchard Great comment. There's always a tradeoff between space and image quality. You're absolutely correct.

    Generally the most convenient thing to do is click on "Set smooth", independent of the blender version used smooth will be there.

    Good luck and remember the smooth option.

  • Im new to blender. I noticed when you rendered the monkey you got a very smooth render, when I do it i get a rough render showing all the faces clearly. How do you get it to render so smoothly. Im using ver2.6.

    Great tutorial, but you lost me when you are talking about using F12 button, for some reason those buttons are not working at my computer, how can Iinstall them so they work properly.
