@breakdancer958 In SKIF the second kiai is not at the last move but if you look and listen better you will see that the second kiai is at the first jump.. Don't hurry to dudge a Master... He knows very well what he is doing...

@richardsmith1990: @richardsmith1990: Someone has grabbed your arm and is trying to pull you in their general direction, you keep tension with their grab as to steady them. You then release the tension by jumping and kicking them with your right foot. (Be it in the face, arm, knee, etc.) You land safely and stand up for the next opponent where you block and counterattack them accordingly.

The jump is the same as Empi ??? Thx all, this man is amazing

@richardsmith1990 i saw one very optimistic bunkai for it somewhere, cant remember where.
imagine the hand that you pull back is representing a katana (sword) you jump and kick it out of the offenders hand, then another attacker from the front tries to thrust a sword, you duck that, step up and block it out of his hand, its a VERY optimistic bunkai and im sure there are many others but thats one i have seen, il try to find another some more bunkai, more realistic ones
Respectful disagreement is always welcome, but karateka should not be calling each other stupid or disparaging the masters--even on youtube.

I have read all of the comments found here and I think many of you are confusing competition style performances with those we see here. The trend in kata competition to perform the moves at great speed removes the natural rhythm and takes away the true meaning. The pace of a kata as we see Sensei Kanazawa perform is paramount to its understanding. It can also be harder to perform the moves at the slower pace than rush through them without proper form or understanding to their actual meaning.
