How is your son in law? Hope he's recovered well..

I just wanted to say thank you for posting this! My wife and I tried your fence this year and had ZERO deer eating our scrumptious veggies this year! The year before they completely demolished it! Thank you Thank you! It REALLY works.

I put up the crazy fishing line fence and added strips of plastic shopping bags, wind chimes, cat toys and little jingly things. Didn't even have to put up the center pole. The deer are eating the grape 10 feet away, but won't approach the vegetable garden. You have saved my garden and my sanity. I bless you every time I come out to pick a tomato. FOR THE WIN!!!

Well, I've been obsessed by this idea since I first saw your video. I'm collecting little noisy bits, cat toys, anything that might make noise and annoy the deer. Thanks again for posting this brilliant, out-of-the-box solution. Happy growing!

Great tip!!!! Thank you and I will try this. I have to spray lime, garlic, egg, and red pepper every few days on everything to keep them out... lots of bother and your way's better!!

Thanks for your reply...I think I will try a version of this...you are GREAT!!
Son-in-law recovered exceptionally well. A few issues, but that's a blessing, all things considered. He can walk (pretty good now) and function fairly well. Thank God for all the prayers. :) My "Deer Fence" is going to be put up again this year. Finally got contract on property, so, yee haw! Will put in permanant corner stakes this year. It has been a life savor for us, too. I hope you all enjoy the "sweet rewards" of blissful harvest!

This is amazing. Did your neighbors get on board or are the deer munching their gardens while leaving yours alone? I plan to try it to keep the 12+ herd of deer away from my veggies. How high are your fence stakes? What kind of opening do you leave so you can get in and out of the garden?

Not yet.. I think my fence is too, well, redneck for them.. Old metal fence stakes, long rebar scraps, anything I can salvage and recycle.. About 5' on perimeter. Stand up between the canopy strings. Added small pot pie tins, hanging from canopy- moves very easily in the wind and scares the critters. Neighbors/stray cats and small dogs are the only annoyance now.. That's what the vinegar in the squirtgun is for! Slide in thru the strings. No gate, go in anywhere you want. Good luck.
