Too bad your commie built airliners crash so regularly.

JUST CAUSE YOU PUT A 3D THRUST VECTORING ENGINE ON A 5TH GEN AIRCRAFT, DOESN'T MAKE IT A FIFTH GEN ENGINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This type engine design is not stealthy at all! If they go on to use this engine or any other like it for production Pak-fa than this plane will be in big trouble when it comes to rear sector stealth. The Pakfa already isn't as stealthy as F-22, installing this type as the engine will only widen the gap.

russia atha russia

@Thestealthfighterguy: The 2D F119 is more 5th Gen, than this.
-
@Thestealthfighterguy american has it on f22 but this one is better since the other one need loads of maintenance and reparation after each flight.. What the use of having a failed stealth engine then?
Moreover the russian design help the aircraft to perform manoeuvre that the f22 cannot.

5th gen. Right. That thing is about as stealth as a barn. 3d yes. 5th gen. NO.

@socshooter the first su-27 with axisymmetric thrust vectoring nozzle (T10-26) flew in 1989. Saturn started the project in 1986. About the same time, a flat 2D nozzle was developed, flew in 1990 - but was dropped for the axisymmetric one. I dunno where the hell you are getting 10 years.
Fuck off.
Are they using this on the Su-50 PAK FA ?

@arf193
No, this is an old model (Aricle 117s), which was used for the construction of PAK-FA. Those things are buildet in the new SU-35 today. T-50 is using the newest model of 5th generation engine today, the AL-41F1. The next step of upgrading is -Article 129-
