My Micro/Sew-In Look: Protective Hairstyle

im transitioning to natural hair so i decided to do a braid/sew-in look

TOTAL TIME: took about 4 hours to complete look...hoping to keep it in for about 6 weeks depending on the hair...i will update u guys.....


HAIR:glance model model hair called SPIRAL CURL @ 8.99 a pack....2 packs


COLOR:1B/33 & 33.


PRE-TREAT:i washed deep conditioned and trimmed my hair the day b4.....please make sure u take those steps b4 braiding ur own hair.


SECTIONING HAIR: parted my hair ear to ear, on the sides and the back for the braids.....cornrowed the middle section for the sew-in. put braids on the top sides and back of the hair...then sewed in the middle section...

NIGHT TIME CARE: part hair into 4 sections....and twist the sections....spray with a light oil sheen....then put on a silk bonnet or silk scarf.

DAY TIME CARE: untwist hair...finger comb and GO!




TO DEFINE CURLS: I use PROCLAIM CRYSTAL ICE (found at sally's for about $3.00 a jar) it is similiar to ELASTA QP... i love it!
