I've loved Meat Loaf since the beginning. I hear an operatic quality to his voice and his songs are far deeper than they appear upon casual listening.

@PDSJohn I want to echo every word of that. In an age of cookie cutter performers, it's truly sad that originals like Meat Loaf are underappreciated. His combination of vocal skills and emotive power is truly rare....and like you I am a bit sad that it wasn't until my 40's that I understood it.
I guess when you call yourself "Meat Loaf" you're kind of asking for that.

This is an excellent song sung beautifully here by two fantastic singers.
Meat got it just right.....!
It seems a shame that some people wont 'get" Meatloaf till they are older (as I did)
Sadly I have never seen him live.
