I don't know how it is possible....but they just made Sing Sing Sing...boring!
-
you guys call that swing? if its good for anything its playing it to a two year old to put them to sleep!
-
probably the only time the oehler clarinet has been jazzed on....
-
omg no way i heard this version once..... in a retirement home

@Reconciled Let's dance is signified by the iconic benny goodman opening in a series of swung eighth notes ascending for 4 notes skipping down a couple steps for another series of 4 ascending eighth notes. The sets of ascending eighth notes happen the standard 3 times before going into a soaring altissimo note.
Any respectful soloist would go into a TRIBUTE Performance with research done to replicate the iconic sound and style of the era. Ever Benny's SIGNATURE Ending was mutilated.

@FragRaptor Oh, should he have started with a two-noted harmonic overtone? The soloist was fine. The rest of it lacked energy.
-
no saxes???? :( that's what this is missing...
-
FYI ONE NOTE IS A BAD WHY TO START A SOLO.

"Let's Dance" is supposed to be an energetic swing-jazz song.
WHERE'S THE ENERGY???
o my god. sounds more like a lullaby. where is the passion? the jive? the trumbones must "scream", not hust. and look at the drummer. where are gene krupas of today? swing was the punk of the 30s. loud, rebellious. if you feel the real swing, your feet want to dance.

This was the dullest performance. I wasn't feeling it.
