My first movie made with Kodak Zi8 with x0.45 wide angle converter and DIY steadicam
/a storm was coming and was very windy so steadicam had tough task ;) /

made in 720p @ 60fps, slowed by 50% to acheive slo-mo.

Excellent shots. Very Impressive, and with a pro touch, and nice model (whoever she is) and landscape background.

I´m close to decide buying the Kodak Zi8. Price of black and red are pretty good at Amazon right now. But I will not hack it with a glued lens, at least for now.

@jalsina1 Zi8 is good for begining adventure with video, but it has few issues - it really needs steadicam otherwise when you record and walk picture is really shaky, second when its a little dark and we're recording som move and action, picture gets a little blurry, and "pixel blocks" appears on it.

Above video is of coures compressed, but obviously i also have orginal 720p version and quality is close to this above - far from perfect ;)

But for ~130$ you won't finf anything better :P

@0tivv I was looking to some videos related with the Kodak Playsport and I have another one competing with the Zi8.

The Sport has a wider depth of field, so more gets into your normal picture (w/no digital zoom). And it seems the low light recording is slightly better. But the Zi8 has Macro which I believe will be a must for me.

I still have not found any video that looks like yours. I also liked the one at the beach.

@jalsina1 well ist all up to You (video director ;)) how video will look after editing :)

Zi8 and playsport look almost the same for me and both are somehow handicaped with unperfect video (although playsport has better IS and night shots) and unfortunately i cant help you with choicing the one for You :)

Honestly im waiting till Nikon replace d700 with new camera with HD recording and Zi8 is only my temporary tool ;)

Can please tell me witch rendering settings you use to make slowmotion shot with the zi8 60frames. I have sony vegas 8. If I create a slowmotion video its not smooth at all after randering :(

Would be great if you give me some advice.
