Video about a galaxy cluster called Abell 383 in the Cetus constellation of the northern sky (Cetus refers to a sea monster in Greek mythology, although it is often called 'the whale' today). Abell 383's powerful gravity bends the rays of light almost like a magnifying glass. The images included here revealed the existence of a distant galaxy that began forming stars just 200 million years after the Big Bang. The research team was lead by Johan Richard, and the study included recent observations from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, verified with observations from the NASA Spitzer Space Telescope and distance measurements using W. M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii. CREDITS: All astro-images released by ESA / Hubble under an Attribtion-Unported 3.0 Creative Commons License.
