  • Not charging. Stevens makes contact with Francis before his skate blades leave the ice, and even then it's only by about two inches. Plus, it was a shoulder check, not an elbow, and Francis had the puck which means it wasn't late, so there really wasn't a callable penalty on that hit. If Francis has kept his head up, he would only have been knocked over, not knocked silly. Just a good, clean hockey play.

  • There has never been a cleaner open-ice hitter in the history of the league than Stevens. And I'm a Rangfers fan!
