The first time I saw them was in Haarlem in some feminist place. We were the only three males and with two of our Haarlem punk girlfriends the only punks. For the rest there was a little group of feminist lesbians. In the break we talked with the Nixe they said they were happy to see some punks in this place and told us about some one being pregnant. They were really very nice and specially for us they played our request, a song they normally never played "von Hoff" (you better fuck off).
Absolutely one of my favorite punkbands. Saw them a few times in 1981 and it always surprised me that at that time they were not so well known (I'm speaking about the Haarlem region) and only few people came to see them. It seems that it has to take 30 yrs before people start to appreciate the unique Nederpunk sound. Today the Nixe are getting the recognition they deserved
