my summer '09 fantasy: chapter 2 part 1

here's the second chapter of my summer '09 fantasy :D (By the way, im sixteen in the story. so yah. xD)

"What!?" I asked, anxious to hear what he had to say.
"Well, my cousin is having a out of school pool party tomorrow and he said I could invite one person. Can you come?" he asked anxiously.
"Uhm," I said, my heart pounding in my chest. "I guess I could go. What time is the party?" I asked, trying to sound casual.
"8:00pm to I-have-no-idea," he said.
"Okay, I guess I could come," I said, smiling like an idiot.
"Cool. So, what have you been up to?" he asked.
I was surprised he dragged on the conversation. I thought he'd just say, "Okay, bye," when he had the chance.
"Uhm, school?" I said, laughing.
"Oh yeah. But, I meant today," he said.
"Oh," I said, embarassed. "Well, nothing really. I just had Gabby, Sydney, and Emily over for some swimming."
"Cool," he said.
"Yup." I said.
A few seconds in silence passed, and Jason broke the silence. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow at eight. Call you in the morning," he said.
"Alright," I said, once again smiling like an idiot.
"Bye, Julia," Jason said, seeming dazed.
"Bye," I said. I noticed that when I went to hang up, he was still on the line. The next morning, I woke up really happy. I ate breakfast in like 2 seconds, brushed my teeth, and then I got a phone call from him. I sighed in happiness.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey, do you want to hang out before the party?"
"Sure," I said, "Where do you want to go?"
"I'm not sure. Maybe ice skating?" he asked quickly. I realized right then that he definitely was sure where he wanted to go.
"Absolutely. That would be awesome," I said happily.
"Cool," he said. "What time?"
"Whatever time you have open," I said, "There's nothing on the calendar today besides your cousin's pool party.
"Hmm. Is after lunchtime alright?"
"Sure," I said.
"Okay, Galactic Ice, 12:45?"
"Sure," I said again.
"You can invite a few friends. Seeya then!" Jason said. Again, he didn't hang up until I did.
Then i IMed gabby because she was the only one online.
xTeNnIsGiRl14xx: dewds.. ice skating with JD @ 12:45! :D basically a DATE! :o
WolfsxSoul: DEWD!! Can i come!?
xTeNnIsGiRl14xx: yeah. he said i could invite a few friends.
WolfsxSoul: AWESOME :D cya there
Then she logged off.
At 12:30, i ate lunch and headed out the door to my car.
Finally, after what seemed like 4 zillion hours, i got to galactic ice and, spotting gabby's car, walked over to it.
"heyy," she said.
"hi," i said, looking around for jason's car. when i finally saw it, he walked over to us.
"hey," he said.
gabby was used to seeing him, so she said, "hey dewd."
we all three walked in together and when Jason had excused himself to talk to some friends, gabby punched me in the stomach and said,
"oh. my. God. It's soul!!!!" she said. Ever since gabby had become interested in anime, she had watched soul eater on TV. she LOVED soul.
I stared in awe, and she said, "and he's here with black star!!!"
gabby started to sort of hyperventilate when Soul looked over at her and smiled. she stopped breathing for like 45 seconds. I just laughed as they stared at each other.
Soul went to get in line to get a slice of pizza, and exactly when he had stepped in line with black star, gabby said, "I'm hungry. Let's get something to eat!"
I laughed as she dragged me along into the long line for pizza.
Black soul went to the restroom and Soul was standing there alone.
"Aww. he's alone. say something to him, gabby. give him some company," i said teasingly.
"watch this," she said as she bent over to untie her shoelace.
"what are you doing??" i asked her.
"you'll see," she said impatiently as she stepped on her shoelace and "tripped" right in front of him.
I watched in amusement as soul, as fast as lightning, reached out and caught Gabby in his arms. He was holding her inches from his own face. I watched as their eyes connected and about 30 seconds later, Soul steadied Gabby and let go of her.
"大丈夫？" he asked her.
"What?" she asked him.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot to speak English," he said, laughing softly.
Gabby laughed and waited for him to correct himself.
While she was waiting, I randomly saw Black star approaching me.
"Are you okay?" he asked her.
"Yes, I'm fine," she said, sighing.
"Let me buy you some food," he said.
When i caught gabby's eye, I winked at her and watched as Jason came walking back to me. I saw Black star stalk out of the ice skating rink in a huff.
Jason took my hand gently and led me to the ice skating rink.
