This is the second in a twelve part series on Soul Winning.
We have talked about making a commitment and now we are going to look at the confidence that is required to win the lost.
Jesus said "The harvest truly is plenteous." It is "the labourers" according to Jesus, that "are few" (Matthew 9:37).
That one declaration, alone, should inspire a great deal of confidence in us as believers. It seems, however, that many are losing heart when it comes to winning the lost.
I talk to many Christians, including ministers of the gospel, who believe that this world is beyond redemption. They are quietly biding their time and waiting for Jesus to come and get them. And when they see churches grow (mega churches, seeker sensitive churches, etc...) they attribute that growth to compromise.
But the Lord has warned us that he expects to find us "doing" when he comes. We don't want to be found like the wicked and slothful servant who hid his talents in the ground because he "feared" his master. (See Matthew 25:14-31).
There is a harvest waiting for us.
We have a right and a responsibility to reap that harvest.
And Jesus has equipped us to reap that harvest.
Let's go and bring forth fruit.
Be Encouraged,
Pastor E.
