On this video, I am showing my student Charlton Ramirez, 15, the transition from using the sticks, to long bladed weapons to knives and to empty hands using our basic 2725 basic sparring drill. This is his first time experiencing this transition, so he is not that fluid as yet. He has however progressed so far since he began, in terms of overall knowledge on the system. I am showing him how, we can transition so easily from so many different weapons using just our basic sparring drill. On this drills , a student eventually will learn how to apply the positioning that he has for locking, trapping, hitting , take downs and grappling . Right now for Charlton, it is reflex development..... My training center is located in West Covina, California about 22 miles from Los Angeles. For one on one lessons or group seminars anywhere in the world, email your inquiry to VCavada@aol.com I have a very busy schedule so only serious inquiries are entertained. Research all you want and then contact me , when you want to learn a very detailed, progressive and complete close quarters system of the Filipino Martial Arts of Eskrima. I AM COMMITTED 100 per cent in teaching you to the best of my ability and knowlledge.... ARE YOU ?? Practice... Practice hard.... But Practice hard, Safely !! Master V

  • @oldsgtmajusmc Hope we can meet one of these days, before we start slowing down !! Take care...

  • Thankyou for the video Master Virgil. I presume that 2725 refers to the strike sequence but I don't see the pokes/jabs which you show for strikes 5 and 7 in the basic strikes. Also may I ask if strike 7 has a hook/swing component or is it just a jab? It seems to differ from strike 5.

  • @RoyStewart Roy, sent you a message as to the explanation on the 2725 !
