This song is loosely based on an Appalachian folk tale. There are many tales of ghost fiddlers in the mountains of East Tennessee. I tell this story twice on this newest album. Once in this song, "Katie Malone" in a sad and somber way and also in the song "Jacob Calvin" in a more satirical way. The background images are all Tennessee and North Carolina. The ghost fiddler is Mairead Nesbitt. The footage was pieced together from a series of photos I took and then manipulated in Photoshop and After Effects. I hope you enjoy. John
