I loved that they got back together(ish) in season 6, but then she kept blowing him off for dumb Eddie! At least Kevin Williamson came back to his senses when he penned the finale and put aside his foolish notion that Joey and Dawson were 'soul mates' and had Pacey and Joey end up together!

@quicksand241 I think its there to show what an asshole Dawson is. He treated PJ with contempt in season 3+4 and now, when he finally gets to sleep with her, he fucks it up as usual. Pacey would never have done that
