0:10 - Luke/Van looks great in watermelon red. He looked great in orange at the Emmys. Not many men can wear such vibrant colors. Jake/Noah generally wears earth tones
0:29 - Luke: "if you want any help" BAD IDEA. The relationship is already troubled; adding money complicates it a lot. It's really sweet of Luke though
0:45 - Noah: "I know what you want" Luke flashes a cute bittersweet smile as he remembers better times
0:47 - But Noah gives his saddest most pathetic face yet as Luke walks to his table. What a heartbreaking look
1:40 - "You're leaving me in a bind" Er, the place doesn't exactly look very busy. I do question, though, why Noah couldn't go to the police after work. The station is opened 24 hours.
1:40 - I love Luke's adorable facial expressions as he decides to ignore Noah's request and follow him anyway. As I always say, Van is an amazing actor; he can say so much without any words
1:57 - "we thought you'd want to have these" That's the emergency????? That required a policeman taking a trip to Java and Noah interrupting work? Why couldn't they have told Noah over the phone?
2:06 - For those who don't know, those are military dog tags, worn by soldiers as identification
2:59 - Luke: "just come with me" Aww, the handholding is sweet. Watch Noah's face. Again, I say that Oakdale must be one of the most gay-friendly places in the world. You don't hold your boyfriend's hand like that in front of the NYC police
4:37 - Luke: "not only did he try to de-gay me" De-gay? Luke certainly has a way with words
4:45 - Luke: "to go back to Europe with him" The airport confrontation scene between Luke and Damian was amazing! The plane was just about to leave when Luke found out the truth. It was so incredible that ATWT submitted it for Van's first Emmy nomination. Unbelievably, Van lost. I'll upload it if I can find it
5:09 - Luke: "see the greed; I can't see the cruelty" My semi-professional opinionm is that Luke is really being stupid about this, Noah needs time to grieve, yet Luke is still trashing Win. In fact, he's telling Noah that he's blind to the truth. This is definitely not the time to talk logic yet Luke is forcing it upon Noah. If Noah doesn't get to grieve now, it'll haunt him later. Luke needs to lay off for a bit
6:08 - Luke: "You just had a really traumatic experience" Yes, and Luke was to blame. Getting those dog tags could have been a happy experience and one of closure. But Luke forced Noah to confront issues that Noah was not yet ready to face. This is normally done by a therapist in a controlled setting.
6:34 - Noah: "I don't think I can be what you want either" Bravo. When I studied couples counseling, getting people to admit this was a major breakthrough. I wanted Noah to make this very statement when Luke pressured Noah to come out. I've seen gay men's lives wrecked because of pressure from other gays. In any relationship, we cannot let let others define us. We need to meet our own comfort level, even if it means living in the closet. A song I used often was Gloria Estefan's "Don't Wanna Lose You." It's applicable in couples counseling as well as coming out. The words could be sung by Luke as well as Noah.

7:22 - Luke: "if you ever need someone to talk to..." This is exactly the approach Luke and anyone else should take. Just let the other party know that you're there when he's ready. We need to be fair to Luke too. He can't wait indefinitely. Especially when other guys, i.e. Reg, are interested in him.

Whoa... this is where I REALLY appreciate Noah as an actor. I wouldn't be able to "cry" like that on camera without bursting into giggles every time. Every things quiet and you have a camera closing in on your face, and you gotta scrunch up and start balling? No way x3
