I have Hirschsprung's diesase. I only have one big scar and some scars near my anus. your scars are different then mine. my scar is vertical/diagonal scar across my tummy about 6 inches below my belly button.

My son still cant control himself. He lost most of his colon though. He has the worse case of HD. He had hirschsrung's with skip lesions. He only has his small intestine left! Besides the accidents at night, hes a healthy kid.

My son had a pull thru operation last year at 2 months. He has two small incisions on his belly that now have healed.

@Dubgoodie How is he doing now? When I had my last operation it was 27 years ago and it was rather new back then in this country so I'm wondering on how good they are today?
@ Lilkilla2012 why do you say see the Dr.? I actually had ultrasounds and blood work done not too long ago because of what turned out to be a horrible kidney infection and there isn't anything wrong with me as far as my intestines or colon.

One thing that really sticks out to me is that my stool has almost always never been solid and food literally runs thru me. Do any of you have a large lump in your stomach? I was told it was from them basically cramming my intestines back in. It's kinda funny cause when I get done eating I can have someone put there hand on it and it like gurgles and vibrates like crazy.

hello!
I have 3 scars, but my biggest is about 6-5 inches, from by belly down to above my "area." I didn't have my operation until I was 10 years old, and it became infected 2 days later, which I got my other scars from.
I used to hate my scar, but now I love it. Its part of who I am, you know?

@freelancereader I know exactly how you feel I use to be embarrassed about my scars.
