The Petaminx

This is my completed Petaminx based on Andrew Cormier's design. It is entirely custom built and contains almost 1000 moving parts. You can read about its construction with photos: http://www.puzz...

I noticed something about naming dodecahedral puzzles: kilominx, megaminx, gigaminx, the prefixes are the same with kilobyte, megabyte, gigabyte. if someone were to make a 1-layer dodecahedral puzzle, will it be called a minx?

i dont understand how a petaminx is made before a 9x9x9 v cube. Its the equivalence of a petaminx. petaminx should be harder to make if anything

a megaminx takes me 4-5 minutes, a gigaminx takes me around 50, so if the correlation of dodecahedral puzzle solving times -snort- is a linear function the petaminx should take me 3 days, 11 hours, and 20 minutes...

:O oh dear

(I actually did the math and I don't usually talk like that LOL)
